No rush, they are not even hatched yet! But, I will have a st.run of Bob's Barred Hollands, plenty of little boys. They will fit in a small bag, I am pretty sure that they will not be much larger than a Leghorn cockerel. It seems a shame to eat rare birds, but lots of folks do not want or can not keep a rooster. I am hoping to find a local 4-H kid to raise some for me, since I am not technically allowed to keep them.
And it's not available either.

The only trouble I have had with it is making sure the gaskets that are involved with the sealing are clean...it seems like a lot of people have problem but they sell new gaskets

Now we know where all the food went that was not on the shelves the last couple of months! I will keep an eye out, now that I know how cool they are. I saw one at a sale a couple of weeks ago and it was ~$40. I did not know that I wanted one then! I did get a nice almost new (condition) pressure canner. That is also a great way to store chicken!

It's almost time for my first batch of tomato sauce for the year. The tomatoes are so heavy on the plants that the plants are falling over even with stakes holding them up.
Yes! Mine are probably about 8 feet high right now. This has been a very good tomato season!

To tell you the honest truth I hated tomatoes that were raw. I would eat ketchup and tomato sauce and such, but I would never eat a raw tomato.

Now I’m making tomato chips out of them 😂

I’m marinating some right now. It’s just balsamic vinegar and Mrs. Dash table seasoning.

Going on vacation or anywhere with my family can be kind of hard because no one eats the way that I do so most of the restaurants they choose are mainly meat-based so I only have a drink.

I’m trying to stock up on preserved foods like pickle chips, tomato chips, banana chips, and apple chips (I love chips). So I can have snacks with my salads or whatever I make that day.

I'm pretty meh on raw tomatoes. :p But I *love* tomato sauce things. Gimme dat pizza, the pasta, the tomato soup with cheese sandwiches and a good taco soup...

When we make our sauce we have a hand food mill we put them sauce through to get out seeds and skins. Then we dehydrate the seeds and skins to make tomato powder that can go on all sorts of snacks. Really great for making your own BBQ potato chips!
