Beautiful girls and their eggs are almost too pretty to eat.

Saoirse got her name (it means freedom) because she didn’t like being held as a chick. She doesn’t love cuddles but will hop into your lap and see if you have any treats now. Look at those poofy chick cheeks!

She’s always hopping the fence with her partner in crime, Mister (formerly known as Maisie) the Isabel Ameraucana, and has recently discovered that cucumbers can be found under the leaves growing through the garden fence.

She is 4.5 months and I’m really excited for her to start laying. The breeder I got her from has a hen that lays speckled blue eggs and decided to hatch some. Who knows what Saoirse will lay, but I’m hoping for something blue - especially since Maisie turned out to be a Mister!

This is Sake'. She is one of the EE chicks that I just purchased a couple days ago and is supposedly a pullet. She is approximately a week old
