Pretty Chicken Leg Bands

how about duck tape leg bands for chickens! And I have a pic of what it looks like on my chickens.

1. Miss red the rhode island red with the golden band

2. Silva the silver polish with the golden band

That's duck tape, not duct tape? lol

How did you make them?

Well you get a pice of duck tape and measure how big you chickens leg is around. Make sure that you don't make it to tight. Then cut the right pice off and rap it around the pice and make sure thatyou can still put it on th3 chicken and done!

So how did they hold up? any problems?
I would think they might be hard to get off if they outgrew them if applied to 'not full grown' chickens.

They held up for about a month but then is came off.
I had a macaroni duck tape band on my rhode island red and i held up for 6 months becuse i made it tuff.

Yes, They are quite over the top but they are very handy in case one of your chickens get lost!

Got the tags at gun dog supply:

Sanded all the edges to remove any sharp burrs.
Started the curve on the curved edge of kitchen counter, bent into a "C" by hand.
Carefully continued bend with a pair of soft jaw pliers to prevent marring...worked into a ring till the holes lined up.
Reopen ring to get on leg, carefully close on leg with soft jaw pliers.
