A gift for my friend who LOVES Peacocks! It was sposed to be a Christmas present... whoops.... LOL Sometimes projects take me FAR too long to finish
It's really my fault though because once I started adding all the specialty stitches.. I just kept going and going...LOL It started out MUCH more simple
It's meant to be a hybrid of modern and antique style, since she loves antiques but also clean lines.
It looks all cockeyed as I haven't streched it for framing yet
Stitched on tea-dyed linen (28 count?).... mostly standard DMC colors but some varigated threads were used. Don't ask me to name the stitches though..... some I just winged
It'll eventually go into a nice wide antique-style gold frame.
Here's the back...... I like to keep it clean and I would LOVE to learn how to do that reverse stitching that some people can do!
