Pretty sad that I am...maybe a problem with legs on one???

Ok Karri, follow along:

Deep breath, hold, count 1 2 3 4 5, exhale
Deep breath, hold, count 1 2 3 4 5, exhale
Deep breath, hold, count 1 2 3 4 5, exhale

If your anxious now, wait until Thursday night. Caffiene I.V. anyone?

OK I got up this morning just knowing that God would let at least one hatch 3 days early...no luck:-(

But I know in my heart of hearts that it's a good thing. They will be healthy and pretty and I CAN"T STAND IT!!! I will have to take Purple's advise and just breathe:lol:

I just checked on them and the humidity is right on and the temps are correct but i still see NO movement. Is that normal for day 18/19??? I also question what day I'm on, can someone help me please? I put them in early in the morning on a Friday, day after tommorrow will be the third Friday hence 21 days. Should I count today as day 18 or 19???? And then is no movement on today normal?

As far as the "no movement" thing, I have had several hatches that I considered successful, hatching at 60% to 80% with my little el cheapo Little Giant 9200 incubator with no fan and no turner. And I have hardly EVER saw an egg move. Maybe it depends on how smooth the floor of your bator is, or something. But don't worry if there doesn't seem to be any movement. They hatch out healthy and fuzzy anyway, even if they can't roll the egg around, or maybe we just aren't looking at the right time. I have babies due Friday, too. About 40 in the bator. Half RIR, and half mutts, I suppose, as they are a mixture. Good Luck to all of us who are eagerly anticipating babies by this weekend.

Don't worry! I've had eggs pip that I never saw shake at all and was really worried about till that pip and others that danced all over from Day 18 on. They're just not all the same, so don't give up hope!

I would say you are on day 20 today. Give them time. Mine had no movement.
We had egs hatch at 19 days and had to do assisted hatches on day 22. Wait
until Thursday night to even start worrying. AND STAY OUT OF THE BATOR!!!
LEAVE THEM ALONE!!! If you have nothing by tommorrow night we'll guide ya
through helping them out.

Also, if your temp is a little low it will delay the hatch, a little high speeds it up.
I think it was Silkiechicken who mentioned that in another post and she was
really correct.

Deep breaths. In................. Out......................

THANKSSSS A MILLION y'all!!!!! That really does make me feel better!!!

Now I ma worried about humidity but, as you might can tell, I am an inherant worry wart! My humidity is now at 75%. Is that too high? Should I risk opening the incubator to correct it? Just a thought. And I love you Don for thinking that I'm on day 20!!!!! That is awesome!!!!!!! I can't even stand myself. I am so glad that my DH loves me, he has to to be able to put up with my 5th grade level emotions!!!! If anyone has seen Molly Shannon in that one movie where she is a rewind girl, that is me right now:p

WEll, the only thing that might keep me sane today is the fact that I will leave shortly for a looooong while. When I get back you may well expect me to have invented some new worries.

Wait..I already have one! Has anyone ever had a newborn drown in the extra tub of water they put in the bator to raise humidity???? I just thought of that one:|

Well, I wouldn't want a dish of water in there, that they can get to. Someone suggested to me that I roll an old sock in a knot and soak it with water and put it in there, and that works for me. Or a sponge.

I'm still new at this too but with 6 very eventful hatches I feel I've learned
a little. Don't take anything I say as being 100% correct.

Open water containers are bad. Use a sock or sponge & STAY OUT OF THE BATOR!!!
I made the mistake of worring to much about humidity and kept opening mine.
IT DELAYED MY HATCH BY A FULL DAY!!!!

Your excitement is cute. Enjoy it. We are.
