I purchased Australorp sexed pullets for $2.99 + tax from my local feed store that stocks Hoover's chicks in October. Heritage and show-quality birds will go for more than hatchery quality. If yours are hatchery quality, around $3 is about right for my area judging from my local chicken Facebook page, but of course it varies geographically and you might get more if feed stores in your area aren't carrying chicks right now.
Chicks (especially straight run) for common breeds aren't generally in high demand in my area, people prefer hatching eggs or started pullets. I recently sold some extra 8-week-old feed store pullets for $15 each and probably could have asked for as much as $20 each and still sold them quickly. A family in my area purchases large quantities of sexed day-old pullets from hatcheries, raises them until they are two months old, then sells them for $20 each, giving away cockerels for free.
