Hello, we are located in the Black Hills of SD. We plan to sell eggs shortly and have heard $3.00 a dozen and $3.50 for 18 eggs is the going rate for fresh eggs. Any feedback?
We plan to start shortly selling eggs and obtaining our egg licenses.
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

We sell ours for $3 a dozen. Have one lady that pays in advance and says to keep bringing them.

I did an at work egg business just to help with feed costs. Most guys would slip $2 or so in my locker for a dozen. One guy wanted blue eggs and another darker brown. Funny watching them sort them out to get what colors they wanted.

I'm in Ohio. My brother takes my extra eggs to work and sells them. I tell him $2 bucks a dozen. %95 percent of the time his coworkers give me $3 to $5 a dozen. Just because they know where they came from, they are fresh, and they know we love our flock!

Here in Mass I charge $3.50. No extra lables like "organic" or "non-gmo". Just rainbow mix farm fresh eggs. I sell them in bulk to a friend with a CSA though. I would probably charge $4.00 at a farmers market.

Were we are, we sell our eggs for 5-6 bucks a dozen, and 7 dollars is expensive. Seems like you could see them for more, but it depends on your area, and the egg costs I guess. Are they hatching eggs, or eating eggs? Or both?
Eating eggs only
