Hello fellow duck lovers! Just thought I'd share some pics of my darling pekin, Princess Puddles, who is one of the 53 that I rescued. Since the beginning, she stood out to me. She's super friendly, despite being malnourished and abandoned. I love her!

Anyways, my mom and I own an organic store and used to bring our geese to the store, but it was always difficult because they would go slipping and sliding everywhere because of the wood floors. (Imagine a nearly fully grown goose going head-first into a display). Well, that's no problem for Princess Puddles, because Nettie so generously donated a pair of teal and pink duck shoes to her duck family! So today, we packed her up, put the shoes on, and just like that, we now have a store duck! She's loving it here, getting all the attention she can stand. I will definitely have to bring her back in the future.

Let me just say thank you, thank you, thank you to Nettie for donating these shoes! I think they're adorable and so does everyone else who sees them. Now I'm comfortable taking the ducks to work with me so they can get a lot of extra love.

Anyways, here's the PICTURES!

I'll start you off with a not-so figure flattering picture that she will kill me for putting up.. But she's so pudgy and cute!

Hey Puddle foot,

I agree that Princess Puddles needs a matching harness. I can make her a special one in teal and pink. If Princess Puddles doesn't mind waiting about 2-3 weeks (until we finish a few orders, it's been busy!) we'd be happy to send your special rescue another gift. It should also fit your other Pekins as well, so if you ever have to bring one to the vet, your won't have to worry about your SUV's floors and seats.

Thank you so much again, and if you ever want to, you can use any of the pictures I post for anything on your website.. I dunno if you have testimonials to their awesomenessocity, but I'd be happy to vouch for that too.

Your stuff is so great - I will definitely be recommending it to ANYONE and EVERYONE.

Thanks Chicky Tocks and Kris! She seems to have made it her job to be adorable and likes walking around with me and talking, even though she was not imprinted on humans to my knowledge. These ducks amaze me with their resilience - if I'd been abandoned, chased around for days, and almost hit by cars, I don't think I'd enjoy being too close to humans. But she's more than happy to sit on my lap and chat! Ducks are great pets.

I think it shows that animals are grateful and thank you in their own way. We've trapped a young stray female cat on our property, had her fixed and she moved in permanently. By her own will, it would have been fine with us if she decided to live the rest of her life as a stray. No she knows that she now has a good home and loves it. She is friend with all 4 dogs and does not mess with the ducks. She turned out to be the sweetest thing ever. So I'm not surprised that the ducks are happy after all the bad things they went through. An trust me they know the difference and love you for it.
