Probably a stupid question but.......

    this is probably a stupid question and dont laugh too hard if it is, but is it possible to incourage broodieness?
    I REALLY want a broody!! Do you need a good nesting box, many nesting boxes,or lots of hens of something??

    I have one that goes broody if I don't collect the eggs for 2 days. And no rooster either.

    Do you want her?

    Haha! I would definitely take her, but i live in kansas, and you live in florida!! Also, my mom probably wouldnt let us get her!!

    I collect eggs every day like clock work and haven't had one go broody yet and my girls are about 1 1/2 years old.. [​IMG] So I think if you leave eggs they will go broody...

    sitting on the toilet
    put some golf balls in the nesting boxes and they will lay more because they think the golf balls are eggs
