this is probably a stupid question and dont laugh too hard if it is, but is it possible to incourage broodieness?
I REALLY want a broody!! Do you need a good nesting box, many nesting boxes,or lots of hens of something??

I have one that goes broody if I don't collect the eggs for 2 days. And no rooster either.

Haha! I would definitely take her, but i live in kansas, and you live in florida!! Also, my mom probably wouldnt let us get her!!

I collect eggs every day like clock work and haven't had one go broody yet and my girls are about 1 1/2 years old..

So I think if you leave eggs they will go broody...

put some golf balls in the nesting boxes and they will lay more because they think the golf balls are eggs
