Probably a stupid question...

We are getting ready to start our flock!

BUT one thing that just came to mind. What if a chicken should need to be culled (adult or new biddy...any)??

I know I can't do it. So I just asked dh. He said he can't do it, either.

OMG, so what do we do? Don't really know anyone here in Amarillo to ask to be a "stand by" culler for us.

    Thanks for any advise...

Buy some ether from an auto parts store and soak a cotton ball in it and put it by the birds face and the bird will die painlessly. Please be sure to wear gloves and dispose of the carcass in a responsible manner so that no wild animal eats it.

Another option that you might consider would to post any unwanted birds on this forum. Someone would probably give it a home.
