I am guessing that it will be similar to a cream cheese but very similar to a Chevre cheese! I am going to have to settle for this as I can't find goat milk around here yet and true chevre requires goat milk to process but I could add chevre starter to kefir and see what happens! The worst that could happen is that I would waste a quart of kefir and have to put it on the compost pile!! But first I am going to start out and make a Laban (Think I spelled that right) which is the kefir with the whey removed and dried in a cheesecloth bag!! Then the sky is the limit on this ~!

I am guessing that it will be similar to a cream cheese but very similar to a Chevre cheese! I am going to have to settle for this as I can't find goat milk around here yet and true chevre requires goat milk to process but I could add chevre starter to kefir and see what happens! Well, I have been cutting back on both-I'm only allowed one cig break per day at work now, I don't smoke in my house and it's too cold to stand outside. I've cut my coffee down to two cups in the morning as opposed to almost a full pot. I know it's not going to be easy.......I could go back to the herbal coffee I was drinking not so long ago. I ran out of it and can't get it at my local food co-op, so I went back to regular coffee-big mistake! I think that totally giving up the cigs is going to be a challenge, but maybe if I start some different healthier habits to replace them with, it'll get easier, faster.

Good luck on that! I too did a detox because I was eating horribly over the holidays (more like butter, sugar and meat fat for two weeks!!), so I did a juice cleanse for two weeks. Besides juices, I also drank kefir and Kombocha Tea throughout the day. I also was not totally on liquids since I ate tofu and veggies. I feel so much better! I wish you huge luck in staying off the cigs and caffeine....I am not sure if I could ever give up my cup of morning coffee!! You are brave but your body will be so happy when you give this up!

I gave up coffee many years ago, started drinking herb teas don't do well on caf. so it was for the best for me, Hope you make it through and beat this Wis Chick, we'll be rooting for ya.!!!

I quit the cigs over 7 years ago but still have my one cup of coffee in the morning but do the Kombucha and Kefir on a daily basis and love it!! I had read somewhere that the Kombucha was good to release you from different cravings so it should work! Just keep thinking positive and anyone can do great things as long as they think positive and the first step to stopping any kinda vise is to WANT to do it!
