Problem: overweight anconas, 15 wks old (more PICS NOW)

wow, I'm glad this thread was posted! I never really thought of fat ducks, but then again, who wouldn't be fat with yummy food available all day!!!

So how much per bird? I saw .25#, but is that 2 cups? 3? I guess I could get off my duff and find my kitchen scale, but....

Do you feed them only 1x per day? 2x? I want my little Lucky to be nice and healthy!

I hardly see my ducks eat at all even though its there for them 24/7..seriously-hardly ever. They must eat at night when they are locked up-

Here I was thinking they were sleeping?

Ive posted his photos numerous times on here trying to identify him---ancona was mentioned but everyone pretty much said magpie...ad me I had no clue as I had never had a duck before. The lady who I bought eggs from swore she didnt send me duck eggs ( I was strictly buying chicken eggs) then I sent her photos of chuckie as a 2-3 day old and she denied it again. Her eggs were the only eggs in my bator!

Believe me when I saw that bill pop out of his shell I almost peed my pants that I hatched a duck! He lived in my tub for 3 months! It was dead of winter when he hatched
