Problem with Neighbors Dog

Dog house is on your property, push it off or move it (if possible) onto the curb on garbage day.

Do not give the dog exlax, no matter how tempting it will be. Only the dog will suffer not the idiots next door.

Fence the land on all sides of them your property touches.

I guess if you live in the city, it makes sense to keep the pooch tied and out of the street. There has been occasion when a hound of mine has chased a rabbit into the neighbors field.

We did a boundary survey before putting up our fence. The *line* the neighbors thought was the border was about 3 feet off.We gave neighbors 2 years after the survey to do their own in order to confirm(or not),but no one did so we put up the fence. I would have felt better if they HAD done a survey.I actually thought about hiring someone else to do another survey, but doing one was already costly.

My recommendation is to always do a survey and have the surveyor place markers every 10-20 feet so there is absolutely no question where the property lines are. Then give the neighbor a few months to survey their own property. Many will verbally argue the lines, but will not hire someone(a professional) to disprove them. The person with the current survey by a licensed surveyor will be the one who is in the right. There are ofcourse laws on taking anothers land by simply using it for x amount of years. Each state have different requirements for that(adverse possesion).

Until I put up a fence the neighbor continued to mow the lawn 3 feet into the markers.Mowed around the markers, lol.Essentially continued to use/tend to the land thought to be theirs.Only a fence held them back.

You have the current survey,so it is the neighbors responsibility to have their own done.I still hear my neighbor taking to THIER neighbors about my fence and the *lines*. I waited 2 years to put up my fence.I waited 2 years for them to prove my survey was wrong.I think your neighbor is like mine, and will talk but not spend the money to prove your survey is wrong. All you can do is secure your fencing and ignore. If you can catch the dog call AC. Toss the poo over the line.Lol,the **** is flying now.

I don't live in the city but it's more like a town I guess and we have ordinances as well. We called the local animal control about some neighborhood dogs that come on my property, do their business, take some stuff from my yard and chew on them, and I've caught them barking at my chickens. I was shooting them with a BB gun but the man at animal control said not to do that b/c if it got embedded or hit it's eye then that would be animal cruelty. He said we can come and sign for a trap cage and they would come out and put a couple out in my yard or I could shoot to kill the dogs. He said I know that sounds terrible but if they are on your property causing any problems you can do that. I don't have a real gun here and I'd rather not have to shoot the dogs but I'm gonna try the traps first and see. I don't want to be a "meanie" but they are messing in my yard. Oh and they are the only dogs in the neighborhood not on leashes or in fencing.

Make the neighbor some cookies or brownies with the exlax in them. And if the dog continues to go on your property take it to the pound. Maybe they will get sick of "bailing" him out.

well if it was me i would just take the dog to the pound every time it comes on my property because around here its about $60 every time you want to get your dog out of the pound. after paying a good chunk of cash for a few times i think they would learn. as for the dog house, i would take a chainsaw to the part that is on your property
