My broody hen hatched out 4 chicks from 12 eggs.

Now 3 of the chicks are running around fine, but the 4th chick is laying on the ground not moving (it can move its beak), but it cannot walk. 3 chicks that are walking fine hatched 3 days ago and the 4th chick hatched 2 days ago which was yesterday. Any chance it will survive, it looks like it still using the egg yolk that is in side of it and the hen is not sitting on it.

The chick needs to be kept warm. Is there anything wrong with it's legs? Post pictures?

If mama is rejecting it, as in not sitting on it, you need to intervene quickly if you want it to survive.

I recently went through the same thing. Just keep in mind, puny chicks don't always make it, but sometimes they do.

Unfortunately she has now passed away. Her vent had pasting on it. She passed away on my hand, when I was trying to save her.

Chicks rarely get pasty vent with a broody hen so in my opinion there was probably something else wrong with the chick. Sometimes chicks are just too weak to survive.

Sorry but you are 100% wrong.

It did have a pasting vent, as I could see it and also the broody did not wont anything to do with the chick, as she left it.
