I had a Sebright I was afraid was not going to live. It could not get it's head up and would push around my brooder box. Then laid on its side and even on it's back. It had been in a farm store brooder, with its leg caught. (I purchased it and 3 other Sebrights at a discount due to condition) Long story short, I found the suggestion of whisking raw egg and dipping it's beak. I did this on two occasions (9pm and around midnight), dipping its beak a couple of times during each session. I checked at 3am and was uncertain of it being alive in the morning. At 5:30am, it was laying with the other chicks. If not for it's crusted eyes, I would have not know which it was. they are about a month old and all doing well. Now my only 'problem' waiting to see what I have, pullets or cockerels.
