Problem with Rouen ducks bill, looks like it's shedding too much, or worse

It's okay, ya gotta learn all this stuff in advanced nutritional biochemistry anyway. AKA the College Course From Hell.

I think it would actually be very interesting. It's just a little difficult having all this thrown into work conversations about IT topics. We'll be talking about problems with server builds and she'll pop out with something about how you can be deficient in one type of iron but not another, and that doesn't show up on the standard CBCs your doctor might order once per year, problems from oxalates, certain types of sugars, fringe tests for Lyme disease many people have but don't know it, benefits of turmeric, and that you must take B supplements but also must not take B supplements in some situations. LOL. I love her like a sister. I keep trying to talk her into ducks but have no idea what she'd feed them. She'd probably pay to have a mill make it from her specifications.

I don't know if this is available to you, but what we do is keep "greens" on our repeating grocery list and look at what's around at the supermarket. Ours have bagged salad mixes for the ridiculous price of $3 per bag, but every week some brand is on sale for 2/$4 or 2/$3, and there are always some of those that have reduced for quick sale stickers. We get those for 50 cents to $1 per bag, and they have a nice mix we chop to keep the ducks from getting bored with the same things all the time.

Right now I've got butter lettuce and...that's about it. Better than iceberg, but not exactly brimming with vitamins like kale would be. And I think I'd like to meet this coworker of yours, hah! And I think you might like to meet my Hils, he's a SysAdmin and previously he built servers right there in the building's data center.

No, not brimming with vitamins. Don't forget that more is not necessarily better with vitamins. Some vitamins and minerals are toxic in large amounts, and others aren't desirable in large amounts. There's nothing wrong with butter lettuce as a treat.

My ducks just tried out cucumber slices for the first time this week and they were a hit...

Cucumber is good, and it's very unlikely a duck would eat enough of that for it to be a problem. Great treat for ducks that will eat it! Always a good one, and one that's usually on a 'reduced for quick sale' at our supermarkets. I guess humans don't buy it up as quickly as the stores get it in.

As a treat, sure. But as far as getting those xanthophylls into the lil' dude, not so much.
