Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just finished the chickens new coop it's baced on the two story coop on in the coop desin page.It great!!! I lite and strong but the only problem is...nasty raccons.Not just one,not two but three evil racoons.I live in florida and we have only seen one raskel and it was small.The coop is that it is tall not long and yesterday my neobor saw the band of bandits trying to tip it over.Any ideas? please reply

I assume you are in city limits.

Get a 1000fps, scoped pellet gun and shoot the little bastards in the head. Quiet, quick and powerful enough to get the job done. In fact, it is quite enough that you may be able to just shoot them one after another.

Brace it up with some 2 x 4's on the sides. They shouldn't be able to tip it then.

i agree with marcuscarr. i like the .22 better, but I guess that wont work were you live.

I would go .22 also, except for the firearm discharge laws that apply within city limits.

If you hit the coon in the body with a 1000fps pellet gun, it would probably run off and die later of internal bleeding. A .22 would more likely create enough shock to kill it where it stands. If you can head-shot it, use either one and it would be more humane.

I would strap your coop down using aircraft cable and eye bolts stuck deep in the ground. What I have in my mind's eye right now is the way a mobile home is strapped down; like my Dad's Florida mobile home is. That and locking your chickens up at night. Good luck!
