Howdy everyone. I have a mixed flock of ameracauna, isbars, Dominique, Easter egger and a Turkey. 12 pretty mellow girls and a great gentle roo all about 7 months old. I got 3 wynadotte chicks 2 months back and unfortunately 2 died of what I think was coccidiosis about a month ago. Surviving chick was quarantined and is finally bouncing back.

Because she was isolated so long, I am having a hard time with my older girls REALLY picking on the small one any time I try to introduce her. I've tried setting up a small run inside their run that's enclosed (a panic room of sorts) but the adults try to get at her thru the wire constantly and stress her out a lot. I've since had her in a separate cage near my front porch where I let her free range in the front yard. Now the hens are busting out their coop to come bully her.

Really at a loss on what to do at this point. I'd thought to maybe put one my gentlest but also dominate hens in with her for a few days and hope they bond? Any advice would be helpful. The chick is a gorgeous blue Wynadotte that I'd hate to get rid of.

You mention turkeys, I had a bad hatch and got only one chick,,anyway a few day old turkey showed up and I put them together (they were about the same size) in hopes they would bond, and it worked. A few days later I moved them both to the main coop, until the turkey outgrew the chick they were inseparable, the chick is now just part of the flock (hangs with younger chicks) and the turkey is escorted by my rooster,,,
