Problems with my photo files

Well I am going to be watching this topic now too because my photos are not uploading as fast as they were just a few days ago. I will have to try waiting the 5 minutes but the bar does move the opposite direction as you all have stated.

Hey Zazouse if you really need to show someone a photo you can upload it to an image hosting site like photobucket or you could send me the photo and I could put it on my photobucket account and send you the link to the photo that you paste into a forum post.

I'm not sure if I'm having the same problem as Zazouse, since my photos do load (if I go away for five minutes!).
I tried to load and then copy the URL but it was the same URL as when it wasn't loading a photo.
However, here is a screen shot of where everything grinds to a halt:

Is this where you're getting stuck, Zaz?
That is it, never goes threw can't even get the photos I already loaded to post either just stops.

Just testing. Same equipment/setup as noted in previous post with following changes: Editing in RTF, rather than bbcode, with Adobe Flash Plugin turned-on (has caused trouble in past so I usually have it set to click-to-play in chrome) and embedding directly from file on machine (in both IE8 & Chrome) - works just as fast in IE as Chrome in this mode (no delay in upload). Can't get to crash-out, here, sorry. Good luck!

Just trying each method of uploading photos to see if I could get the system to crash (spit me back out), using both the decrepit/defunct/often maligned browser IE8 and the latest and greatest version of the Chrome Browser. I turned on the Rich Text Editor (RTF) in my profile and allowed Adobe Flash plugin to run ads (both of these have caused problems in the past). The screen save (test shot) in my previous post is an example what should appear after the page you're freezing on (I couldn't get it to freeze).

What browser are you using? Internet Explorer 10, maybe? (another member believes this browser to be the culprit).

What's this `old' stuff? Given that I'm graduating to threescore, this Sept., I'm not buying it ;)

I tried small files still just does nothing, I can't even cancel it I have to exit BYC and start over, I can only upload the photos that I have already showed here.
I guess it is just my luck as usual

My son nearly threw the laptop out the window trying to help me upload pictures. I have window 7 and whatever is wrong is a pain in the butt!

Hello ivan3,
Sorry to bother you, but since you clearly know about computer stuff, could I invite you over here https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/790510/help-with-photo-problems
to be sure Zazouse is on the right track with downloading Chrome?

Thank you so much!
Our people over in Peafowl-land seem to all be low tech!

*Edited to add:
Hey, wait! It looks like Zazouse has managed to sort out her problem!
Hopefully she will come back here and let you know how she did it, since it seems we were not the only ones having trouble...

Back, finally.

Think this is on Huddler's (BYC host) end. Everyone with problems please see Nifty's thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...recent-issues-bycs-tech-team-is-working-on-it
What machine? (mac/ph,/windows based)? What OS (OS10/WinXP/Vista/7/8/Android), etc. ? browser? IE10/Firefox/Chrome, etc.?

From reviewing the `photo' threads there seems to be several browsers with this, or other, problems and I'd guess the techs are on it; last time photo uploading, etc. was upgraded there was also a brief bit of `(in)operational shrapnel' delivered along with it.
