Problems with neighbors

I am so glad I have good neigbors, I only have 2 neighbors but a 100+ Guineas and they go EVERYWHERE. And the neighbors love it, they dont buy them. feed them or water them but they get all the bug eating benefits.
I would just put up some more wire on the hole, go to Academy and buy one of the $59.00 game cameras. I have one, it takes great pics and put it in the yard and turn it on.
I really despise people that want to move to the country and then change everything about the country. Please stay in the city.

PS and my Sherrif Dept would write them a ticket for wasting their time.

Mine would too. When Ken beat an intruding dog in the head with a baseball bat (the stupid gun jammed), animal control ticketed the owner - to the tune of $1150. $600 for them having to come out, $400 for the dog being a nuisance, and $150 kennel fee.

That was so totally not helpful. You can do better than that!!!

I can, and I think he's a turd, but the law is the law... if her ducks are on his lawn, that's it. There's nothing else to do about it. I agree, he's a busybody turd breath but if she wants to openly admit to the law that she can't contain her animals then AC or the police will rectify the situation to the neighbors satisfaction.

The ducks were there because HE took down the wiring. Not her fault.

he took down the wiring he put up........ Still within his rights, and still a huge turd face..... but still within the legal world. I don't like it..... and trust me I don't.. but.. She can put fencing up on her side and prevent this. He didn't have to put that up at all....

Like I said.... I think he's fishing trouble, but he's doing it in a manor that the OP cannot fight unless he/she contains her ducks.

SSS.

He is purposely setting her up. She needs that danged camera like yesterday.

Wow how sad to have a neighbor who has nothing better to do then harass . I am so sorry and I bet it's extremely stressful for you and your family. I do not get why people have to do that to others. I think people like that are everywhere. We ourselves just got a notice on our door says neighborhood complaint, about not picking up our horse manure once a week. I was stunned because we don't do it once a week. We do it once sometimes twice a day. On a flare day I might do it every other day. I found it funny how I don't think anyone would sit and time when I would clean my pens. I think it might be a accident , because it was so funny. I mean anyone who would sit and complain because someone cleans their pen more then once a week.

You just need to protect your animals. Do what is needed to keep them in your yard. If that means building a higher wall or fence do it.
Since you seem to be on talking terms , maybe talk to them politely. See if perhaps it might be something simple a type of misunderstanding. Since you have to live next to them try to make things at least decent. Maybe something can be worked out to make both parties comfortable . I don't understand why they would move a fence to let the ducks in, that seems odd to me. You can put up cameras since it is perfectly legal to have them on your property. (gotts love hubby studying law

There are guideline what the camera can watch, so check your state laws. Also go for info red, that way you can see even in the dark. Those cameras most people put up are really bad quality picture wise. And most the picture in the dark is rather worthless.
Good luck and really hope they stop harassing and find a more useful method to use their time and energy.

If you don't do it already then I'd start raising roosters. With a nice big coop pointed in his direction. Some pigs would be a nice addition as well.

And get cameras! Game cameras are ok but there are a lot of inexpensive surveillance cameras available that will record to your PC when there is motion.

But certainly don't let this person change you or the countryside. As mentioned it happens all the time. City dweller Joe moves to the country where the air is fresh and all is serene and quiet. But Joe soon finds out that livestock smells and make noise.
