Problems with turkeys

My feed store person told me flock started and scratch to "Slow the growth" and to feed them less too. So I am glad we both found this forum. I can't imagine how many poults die every year because of bad feeding advice.

Interesting - the turkey starter I have is by Purina and it's a 26% protein feed. Must be a product they are phasing out, though it's a fresh bag.

L&S, you have done a good thing by bringing this topic up. There was a lot to learn in this thread. Your feedstore needs to do something to make this situation right for you. If they won't, you should complain to Purina.

ETA: the LEAST they can do is give you a free bag of fresh gamebird feed!
