Processing Cornish x Rocks, when?

Do you have any problems raising them on wire? I've always heard not to, but I'm going to start brooding mine on wire, so I'm not changing chips every other minute.

Haven't had any problems, and tough crap for them if I do. I wanted leghorns.

I have a bed of sawdust under the cage to catch the crap which I will then compost and put on my garden. Actually the more crap, the better.
