Amazingly, it shoves it's way in there. I do have another feeder out and I see it eating throughout the day, it's just not growing.Maybe putting out a second source of grain. He's getting shoved out. Looks like.![]()
You know.. it's beak looks a little off. Might be the picture though. It looks curved kind of strangely. Maybe it's having issues with that?
It is a Red Star Rooster and looks like they look at that age. He is what hatcheries use to help with heat in the package. He will take 20 weeks to be ready to process. The Cornish X will be in freezer camp long before that.Failure to thrive, looks like. He looks anemic or poor circulation going on...either born with a heart problem or an absorption problem in his bowels? Could feed him some fermented feeds and see if that kick starts him. And a trough would be a great idea so he can get some tucker. Some chicks are just born this way and usually they don't make it or, if someone nurses them along, they always have issues.
It would be worth it to see if he responds to some LABs and be fun to see if it works.![]()
That explains it! I was wondering why he had no orange in his legs and beak and looking all hunched and small....didn't know she had a packing peanut!![]()
