Processing in Missouri

Hey all,

I am new to raising meat birds and our family just brought in 200 chicks. I am wondering if anyone knows of someone renting processing equipment in the St. Louis area. I am actually in Wentzville Mo., about thirty miles west of St. Louis. They are babies now, but I see alot of work in the near future if I cant find the equipment to rent. Thanks.

You have 6-8 weeks to get one built. Get the whizbang book, hunt down the parts and get it done. Not hard to build and well worth the time. Then you will be able to butcher whenever you want.

You may go to the featherman equipment site. They are from Missouri and post people that rent out their equipment or know of people that will process your birds.
