Production Reds

I recently acquired a Production Red hen and can't help but want to show her off as she is so beautiful. I named her Mrs. T, after my beautiful red haired sister. I called her to see if she would be offended if I named a chicken after her. She laughed. I think she appreciated it!

I am blessed with 7 red "production Hens". I think they are all beautiful and have picture and movies to prove it. Take a look at my links below and here is a sample:

Both of the posts have pictures of red-sex linked birds. Production red do not carry dominant white. Production red are a solid red color with black in the wings and or tail. They are similar in color to a rhode island red and have the stance of a new hampshire.

Both are good looking birds.

Tim is totally correct! They are both red sex links. the production red does not have those white feathers and carry the black feathers from the RIR mix in it. I did the page on them~
They are both pretty birdsthough just not production reds~

Thanks for clarification of breed. I was going off what I was told by the person I acquired her from. Right now she is definitely not a "production anything" but just looking pretty! Can't wait to have some eggs from her.

The first one is the same as some of my ladies, they are called Isa Browns here in Australia. Nice bird just the same.
