Production Reds

I saw the pictures, if they switch them they may be right. Their production red look like the sex links and the sex links look like the production reds.

Here is my production RIR. She likes to go broody.

Lost this pullet over the weekend. All I have left of the Blue Tailed Red EE/Production Red cross are three pullets that look most like Production Reds. Oh, well I take them in a few weeks when they are ready to start laying and put them with a Red EE rooster that I have, see if I can't get more that look like this one.

by experience, how many eggs have your production red chickens laid?
Just curious. I'm stuck between white leghorns and production reds.

300-320 their pullet year. That is quite competitive with a Leghorn. I guess it comes down to whether you like a reddish brown bird that lays brown eggs versus a somewhat flightier white bird that lays white eggs. Why not some of each?

Is my little chickie a production red? I've gotten a lot of suggestions but this seems to fit. She was a sub in an order from Meyers. She is three weeks old.
