PRODUCTION Toulouse Geese Thread!!

Based on pictures I see online they were Canada Geese but I don't know if they migrate this far south. I think there are migratory bird sanctuaries south of us close to the Gulf and we are not far from the Colorado river. I do wish we had enough water on our property to invite a overnighter though. I would just sit in my dining room and stare out at them all night.

Me too I love to watch them fly in formation . and 1X we had a pair stop in for a snack of scratch when we had a very long cold spring. That was really cool. I think it's the same pair that brood down on the river from us. they had 6 goslings hatch this year.

We have Canada geese all over Tennesse. Pear just watches them fly above her. Sad! We must have ordered some of the last geese from Cackle because Pear is only four months old and everyone else's geese this year are 6-9!

Are you thinking about getting a couple goslings next spring for Pear? What did you decide is Pear goose or gander?

I think I'm going to get her some goslings or even some fake eggs to sit on then replace them with goslings so she thinks they're hers... I'm looking for a gander still. The wildlife rehabs around me don't give out their animals. ):

I saw where Kimberly has some Sebbies available. what about them?

Thinking about it, the only thing is I'm not fond of Sebbies. I love pear enough to get her a friend no matter the breed but, you know. Preference is all.

If you waited till spring and got a couple of Goslings I'm sure she'd adopt them. As fast as the days are going it will be spring before long. lol

Amy should be able to help you. She's in TN near Chattanooga. She used to have toulouse so should know where to get you one.

Her website is gooseandfig.com

Good luck!
