PRODUCTION Toulouse Geese Thread!!

I just watched Pear and Kiwi wrestle in a ball on the ground WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! Lots of screaming? Did they fight? Mate? Should I separate them? Does this ruin their friendship? HELP

That my friend is called mating by the sounds of it but your goose is still very young :/

Pear is going to have to beat up Kiwi
Most likely she won't. Toots is not 5 months old till the 29th and her and Sam are mating already, Get them something you can put water into it will be much nicer for them both.

She may have actually started the event

Getting them a 130 gallon stock tank from TSC on Sunday. Mom said Pear was sitting in her cage and Kiwi was sitting right on the outside this morning, no mating! He refuses to go in that cage.

Good for you, they will love it. Maybe you can talk BF and DD into making them a proper house before really cold weather gets here, Geese don't like to touch when sleeping and I'm thinking if there was more room Kiwi would probably follow Pear inside. Mine love to go into their house in the evening. I look in the window and each one has their own lil space. It's so cute.

When I set up the heated 5 gal bucket for winter I place a piece of scrap wood over part of the top then put a heavy rock on top of that, then they can still dunk their heads into it but not splash all the water out, also keeps my ducks from using it as a hot tub. lol

There seems to be something in the air or the water in the States! They´re all at it!
Yes, everyone seems to be trying to get a jump on the breeding season. Mine are doing a lot of dress rehearsal and they are just 7 months old. I hope it does not go much beyond rehearsal because that might mean goslings in the dead of winter which would mean goslings indoors and some seriously upset parents.

Can't be the water though...we have been in extreme drought for several years. Maybe they have been slipping something into the food.
