PRODUCTION Toulouse Geese Thread!!

May not get early eggs but if we do I will have plenty of down to pack them in to keep them safe. Too bad I don't have a thousand or so geese. Down is selling for between 75 and 100 dollars a pound. It just takes a lot of geese to make a pound of down.

Ohhhhh my god.

I think Sam is just using her..

MissLydia are your geese mating already?! To be honest i thought i saw my BuffAfrican gander doing mating signals to my BrownAfrican female and she was playing along in the middle of the field but didn't mate.

Yes serv Sam and my young Buff have been mating close to a month now and my Buff is just going to be 5 months old on the 29th of Oct. He robbed the cradle.

If I might toss in my 2 cents worth (3 geese worth?) my three have been mating about once a week for almost a month. One gander and two females. I have been putting it off to having a cold spell followed by late spring/early summer like weather. We are due to a change in weather this week so will be interesting to see if the gang slows down. No eggs yet and no apparent attempt to make a nest. Just the mating. Maybe it is a Northern Hemisphere thing?

Oh and mine are only 7-8 months old.
