progress on new coop

it was a scratched piece from a lumber yard. it's a fixed unit so it was easy to install after the roof was done.

Thanks for the info. Your dogs are beautiful....

they can't reach the roosts so i put in some temps. they love the extra room and are flapping and jumping all over.
this week the garden and next week i'll start on the run.

I'm jealous... your coop looks great and it's DONE! - yesterday as I was reading here at the forum about how fast someones chicks were growing and realized that I didn't have anywhere near as much time to build my coop as I thought... so today we cleared out the area, cut several trees (that needed to go regardless) that HAD to go before building - and then collapsed in front of my puter with aching muscles. Mine will have to be a lot bigger since I will be housing about 40-45 girls, and temporarly housing 15-25 boys temporarly a couple times a year. Fortunately the first 40 are only about a week old and the rest arrive next week, but I guess I've gotta get building. Lickily it doesn't get very cold or hot here so I can skip the insulation and just worry about predator control and chicken comfort.

i understand the stress.
you just have to take it one day at a time and get at least "something" done every day. one thing to consider is that is allways seems to take twice as long to do something than you thought it would..

hang in there and keep at it. the next thing you know it's finished.
you'll get there.
