I’m not sure if this is the correct sub category for this but...
I'm curious about what completely implausible projects people would do if money/time/physics or laws of nature/COVID/whatever weren't limitations. Here's one of mine. Our front yard is a sharp slope to the sidewalk with a stone terrace. Even with the terrace the grade is steep enough that it's not easy space to deal with, I haven't done any weeding or gardening on it because it's also just not an easy area to get to or stand on. On top of that, I learned last year when I did try to work with it that the ground cover that's planted on the slope is actually holding the ground down, as the "ground" is pretty much just a pile of loose gravel. The minute I started pulling it up I started to see a little tiny rock slide.
In my magic fairy-land fantasy where I could have anything I wanted what I would love to do is actually completely landscape it to be level--put down a poured concrete retaining wall and fill it in with dirt so it would be all flat with a vertical drop (surrounded in secured fencing to keep people from falling of course... and while we're throwing fantasies out there, growing edible vining plants through the fencing and/or line it in espalier fruit trees). I'd keep the steps as they are because, well... We'd have to get up and down there somehow, right? But with that area level I'd put in more raised beds and actually use this area which currently has the best light on the entire property to garden, which is something I at least proclaim being interested in even if the state of the front yard doesn't really show it.
