Dutchchic, Way to go for your girls..hope they produce tons of lavenders for you when you start hatching..Thanks for the update..all the new owners seem to have started getting pullet eggs now or most of them that we know about....

Hey Charlie....I watched both of those games today and was quite pleased to have both the Eagles and the Steelers win! Hope they both face off in the Bowl.

I'm chomping at the bit to start setting eggs! My blues are laying too, so I can see my Sportsman being filled to capacity before much longer.

Fill that bator up girl! My Sportsman is fully loaded, as well as my brooders filling quickly. And I'm still planning my next hatch to set.

I want to really bad, but I only have 1 winter coop and all of my birds are in it. I know as soon as I start pulling birds for breeding pens, we'll get hit with really nasty winter weather. That would be my luck anyway!

DutchChic, You know, that 1 winter coop sounds good about now..it is tough dealing with all ours..and to top it off the chickens wont come out in the snow, so that means every time it snows we must shovel each run or part of it so they can get outside daily..

I remember those days with one coop and no real fuss taken care it..but it does make life somewhat more enjoyable

We got 14 water heaters and a bunch of swap out waters for my quails done twice daily..

Plus keeping all the feeders filled, then we got about 5 brooders going now and maybe another 3 to add to that coming..but hey, its really worth it in the long run....Its not a hobby its an adventure..lol

Hope the Eagles go all the way this year..they have there practices about 30 Min's from our house in the summer..

Well, my birdies are laying so I gotta set eggs!!! That will make two incubators going in this weather!! I only have one henhouse and have put everyone together. I have now converted my hubbys manly 2 car garage

with a breeding pen with a trio and I'm going to have brooders going in the house til its time to tell him I need the garage brooder set up

It's not even Spring yet!!

Tuffoldhen, tell your hubby to join the club, i lost my man cave's some years ago..lol and there's no sign of getting them back real soon..
