My 4yo Barred Rock hen had a impacted crop 7 months ago from swallowing shavings. She had surgery to empty it and shavings and kale were found inside. Her crop was huge. Today, I noticed her crop was really enlarged and when I went to pick her up, just slight pressure caused all this water to squirt out. It even got on my face and it kept coming out. It just looked like clear water and did not smell. I think she might have aspirated some because she seemed to be having a hard time breathing for awhile but seems fine now. Dropping her off at the vet in the am. Does it sound like her crop is impacted again? After all that water came out, her crop was empty.
