My chicken had a prolaps just to let you know that sometimes chickens have them from to much proteans do not feed your chickens cayenpepper it is a part of prolaps and if you chicken gets one you have to put them down (my chicken just got put down)'
I got this info from a poltry farmer the lady I bought the chicken from

well by the sound of what you told me last night it seems that your chicken was egg bound and then had a prolaps. and from all the reserch I have done chickens that get egg bound usually get it because they have too much fat around their vent.
hybrid layers like the one of yours that had this problem need alot more protein then other chickens to lay the amount of eggs that they do so if the food you are feeding your chickens doesn't have the right amount of protein in it then they will eat more of the feed to get the right amount that they need therfore making them overweight which then makes them get eggbound.

cayenne pepper and garlic making them have a prolaps is, to me, rubish.
If that was right then hundreds of the people here on BYC and thousands of people everywhere else would have no chickens left as heaps of chicken owners use cayenne peeper to worm their chickens and to make them start laying.
as for garlic I think every single person I know that has chickens uses it, I love it, it rids my chickens of worms, ticks, fleas, mites and almost every other bug out their too. so if these foods made chickens get prolapses then I think I would have lost a few by now.

But thats just my opinion.
