Prolapse- anything else to notice?

that's good to hear! my Isa Brown hen Fluffy June had a prolapse. my parents, especially my dad hates my chickens, so they would not let me bring her inside. my dad had to use the broomstick method on her.
Sorry for your loss. Many hens will recover from a prolapse depending on how severe. Some hens do not recover, or the prolapse gets worse. If you could place a dog crate in your coop or run, that could be used as a hospital coop if you ever have a sick chicken again. A prolapse may improve if the hen gets 300 mg of calcium citrate with vitamin D, but some may last for days even a week or so. It is good for pullets to not overeat when they are maturing, since that can push them into laying too early or becoming overweight. ISA’s tend to have issues because they are such good layers.
