Prolapse or Not?

I was checking the girls this morning and noticed that one hen had what appeared to be a vent prolapse. Within 5 minutes it retracted by itself without intervention. Could she possibly have just laid an egg and she hurried out of the coop too soon when she heard us? This is the first time I've seen this.

That's very possible. When a chicken lays an egg or goes ploop/splort the vent inverts, basically turns inside out. I'd just keep an eye on her.
