Prolapse? Won’t stay in and looks strange

I noticed what appears to be a prolapse with my Female Welshe Harlequinn yesterday (first picture). I was able to re insert it, but every time she poops it comes back out, although not visible unless I flip her and check. It is about the size of a nickel. She layed an egg this morning, but doesn’t look any worse and the “prolapse” is more dark pink than yesterday with a small whitish spot. After soaking her I noticed her vent looks very different from her skin- is this normal (second picture)? Not sure what to do, we have no vet in the area willing to take on ducks. I was able to reinsert again and it stayed (but she hasn’t pooped so not sure if it will come out again).

If a vent prolapse in chickens is anything like a vent prolapse in ducks, you can try putting some hydrocortisone cream on it (anti-inflammatory)....with our hen who had a prolapse we also put some honey on it to reduce the swelling, and we held it in for long periods of time. You can try giving her an Epsom salt bath but since she is a duck that might not be the best idea due to the risk of her drinking a lot of the Epsom salt water. What helped with our chicken was we let her free range for a day and she got to walk around a lot which probably helped get the prolapse back in. But, that was with the help of 2 different types of pills that were prescribed to her by our vet

That’s what I’m starting to question, she’s acting perfectly normal and still laying eggs? I would’ve thought a prolapse would get worse/larger if an egg was layed?

It does look strange . Is it soft and squishy? Fluid or air filled like a cyst? It is it harder than the surrounding tissue?
Maybe it’s not a prolapse but if it is,
I used Manuka honey on my ducksz’ prolapses and held them in for a while, and I used a little honey every day for about a week just kind of squished some in there a bit. It worked well.

Maybe it’s not a prolapse but if it is,
I used Manuka honey on my ducksz’ prolapses and held them in for a while, and I used a little honey every day for about a week just kind of squished some in there a bit. It worked well.

It is kinda squishy, except there is a whiteish part that feels rough like sandpaper. I will try to get updated pictures sometime tomorrow. It slides back in easily and stays (usually until she poops), and one edge of the mass seems to be attached to the top of her vent lip

Thanks for the picture, that is good to know! I’ve attached pictures from this morning. She layed another egg and is in good spirits. I am wondering if it is a prolapse at all? I can’t really see it unless I part her feathers, it isn’t visible when she is walking about. It seems to be yellowish or crusty but the other tissue seems healthy? Not sure what to treat her with to help that.
