I have a 3 year old hen that had a prolapsed vent about 3-4 weeks ago. Of course it happened two days before we were heading out on Spring break. My lovely father in law took care of her while we were gone. She was at his house for about 3 weeks while we were gone and then we were waiting for the weather to warm up before I tried to put her back with my other hens. She came home this past weekend and was not welcomed back by her chicken sisters :( So I am keeping her separated at night still because they kick her out of the coop at night. So, now that I have shared that whole story! :) My concern is that she has not passed an egg since she prolapsed. I gave her another bath this evening and checked her vent, everything looks good, and I am not feeling any hard bumps as I was wondering if she was bound up. So should I be concerned or just leave her be?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
