Prolapsed Vent, but chicken acting normal

The best way to give a pill to a chicken is the same way you give one to a cat or dog. Pry open the beak and shove it in.
Update: My chicken, Pepper, took the pill really well. I gave it to her in my hand with some scrambled eggs. She seems to be acting better. She was starting to look a little down before. Its been about 6 days with the pill. Still the same thing in the morning, but with a little poop (I think it hers). I do notice that she doesn't run with the others, but does walk fine. She has her tail cocked to one side most of the time, and her comb and wattle are drying up (at least before I gave her pills). I know to give her pills for 10 days. Should I be seeing some other improvement, or it might still be awhile?

Update: I don't think Pepper is going to make it. This weekend I let the chickens roam free for a bit. Pepper stuck with them, but she did not peck or scratch at all. I brought her into the garage to watch her closer. She had a full crop. It has started to go down, but she did not eat anything yesterday. She also has a full "water belly" and started walking like a penguin. She seems to be getting worse and worse every day since I brought her in. Not sure if there is anything else I can do.
