Hello there,
Our flock was attacked by a hawk Tuesday afternoon & we thought one was gone. But 24hrs later we found Rosie hiding & trapped. We brought her in, hosed her off, treated her with vebtracyn & silver honey. We thought she had an injury.
The next day we bathed her, and did the same.
But now it appears to be a prolapse with smelly gleet & necrotic tissue.
The pics did not upload in order. So pic 3 is how we found her. Pic 1 is after we hosed her off day1. Pic 2 is yesterday & pic 4 is today.
We’ve been soaking her in Epsom salts the last 2 days, plain water the days before that.
Treating her with vebtracyn & silver honey daily. Given her sugar water soaks, coating in raw honey. She’s eating, drinking, pooping, walking around & talking to us. She even laid an egg Wednesday.
We’ve been giving her scrambled eggs with meal worms, acv, yogurt & oregano oil.
Water with colloidal silver, hydro hen, acv.
Vet is not possible & we are trying desperately to save this girl.
I read we should cut away the necrotic tissue, but wondering if anyone has experience/advice/videos of that???
What do we do about vent gleet???
And what’s next step on prolapse after we remove necrotic tissue?
Appreciate any an all advice
❤
