prolapsed vent!

That is a good sign that the prolapse (if that's what it actually is) is not further damaged. Once in warm water your chicken should settle in and and just lay there for a bit and relax. I was surprised how much an ill chicken actually seems to enjoy a bath.
So how do i treat vent prolapse then? Im currently tracking down some epson salt, is there anything else needed or steps i need to take?
 
x2 what @Texas Kiki said, once she is as clean as possible (we don't want infection if there isn't one already) you will need to push that red mass back into her vent where it belongs, gently, but post pics for us first after she is cleaned up, I believe preparation H is generally recommended as being safe as well as helping to reduce some of the inflammation :fl it stays where it belongs, but there could be problems again as soon as the next egg comes down the pipe
