Pronunciation of "Faverolles"?

Now that I am officially awaiting my shipment of Salmon Faverolles chicks and I will actually have to explain to people what breed they are...What is the correct pronunciation of "Faverolles"? I would like to get it right & not look like a doofus

i believe it is 'fah vuhr ahls'. it is a french word.


and while we're here....can i just say if i hear some of these one more time, i might just FLIP right out....

Sussex IS NOT...Soossex. have you ever heard of Soosex, England? NO. no you have not. Sussex is pronounced, Suh Sex. that easy.

Australorp
IS NOT...Asstralop. have you ever heard of the the country Asstralia???? NO. no you have not. Australorp is pronounced Aw straw lorp. that easy.

Orpington IS NOT...Orfington. there is NO f or ph in that word. it is pronounced Or ping ton. that easy.

Mille Fleur D'Uccle IS NOT...Milly Floor Duckle. it is pronounced Meal Fler Doo Clay. (it is french and wacky, so it's not your fault it's hard to learn)


okay, i just had to get that off my chest. i was having a pronunciation meltdown for a moment. i feel better now. someone pass me a piece of chocolate for full recovery....i feel woozy...

So how do you pronounce Cochin (I gotta have this kind of chicken!)

Is the o pronounced like in old and the ch like chin or like shin.....

Man-o-man, that dang D'Uccle has been killing me. I don't own any, but whenever I see the word I always say it out loud, about a dozen different ways, trying to figure out which one sounds most likely. THANK GOD IT'S OVER!!!

Ohhh....chocolate...my friend made me a batch of his famous dark chocolate, smoked almond, sea salt bark this weekend...I had completely forgotten about it. Off to the pantry!!
