Ok, so now I know how to pronounce Mille Fleur D'Uccle (I was previously pronouncing it....hold on..LOL....Milly Floor D-Uckle!

So now I know what to call one Mille Fleur D'Uccle but what if you have 2 or more? How do you make that plural?

Oh! Me too! We just bought a trio of Mil Flur D-Uckles, I'm so glad it never came up in conversation! We refer to them as 'the trio' to avoid butchering the real name! Thanks for the tip!

So if YOU are in Belgium and your chickens are in the USA, are they still d'Uccles or are they just Uccles??? I am SO CONFUSED

But at least we now know the plural is d'Uccles...unless you are in Belgium...then its Uccles

yes, in Belgium. the D means 'from the town of' in Flemish French. (i am belgian myself! a belgie and a frenchie! oi oi!)

here, we pronounce it. there, not so much!

if you are speaking of more than one D'uccle, my guess would be either D'uccle or D'uccles might be appropriate. hmmm...we need a french genius. paging FrenchHen.......


as long as you don't Duckles ME, you can call them Uclay or Uclays and i wont freak out and start running in circles screaming, "THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY'RE CALLED! GIVE ME A LITTLE BREAK WILL YOU!!!!" especially because i don't want to go to prison or a mental hospital any time soon.
