I have 2 chickens.. 2 are BO`s, 2 are white something.. 3 hens , 1 Rooster

Today I started to let them freerange again after I added the 2 white hens to replace what I lost last week. 2 weeks in the coop and run, you would think they would be happy to freerange with now? Nope!! BO`s went outside to freerange. The 2 white ones staying in and dont want to come out.
They want gras but stretch their necks so far over the threshhold of the coop to get to some gras but wont come out at all. I had the door open all day now .. nothing. But they did reaarange the coop tho..They took all the hay out of the brooding boxes and made sure the water and food comntainers are covered with hay.
I have a feeling that never had the pleasure ot frerange in their lives.Maybe they are scared .I wish they would come out and eat stuff.. they refuse to. And they are mad at me now anyway. I dusted them yesterday with sevin dust..They did not appreciate that at all.

Dumb cluckers they are

Don't be insulting the intelligence of chickens until you've worked out your math correctly

I think it's pretty clever to be sure of where you are and where it's safe before you venture out.

I agree. It's wise for the girls to check out their surroundings before venturing out. Chickens are sooooo much smarter than they are given credit for!!

As for that math...... hmmmmm.......
