I am assuming this is 1" chicken wire. I believe this is a Least Weasel

yet more proof that 'poultry cloth' isn't worth the time it takes to staple it up as far as keeping predators out. I'd be relatively confident to wager that wire stretched a bit too which aided that weasel getting in there
