Ok I've search long enough so I'll ask. What is the proper use of DE in a chickens diet. Can they eat to much? The reason I ask is because I received my supply of DE from www.Freshwaterorganics.com and sprinkled some in the oversized brood box with a run and the ladies started stratching and eating it like crazy. Can chickens overdose on DE or are the smart enough to eat only that which the need? Should it be added to their food only on occasion? Or what they scratch up from the pine shavings be enough for them.
