I'm guessing the door closed on the chicken sitter who decided to kick her way out instead of using the rope pull. Have no idea how this didn't break completely! I guess his "needing" that tool to put door and window frames together thing (yep, I have zero clue what that damn thing is called) wasn't just an excuse to get one😂😂

Curious, did you meet with the sitter and give her a tour before you left on vacation?
Yep, though it was evening/roosting time. I showed her around, set up the hose right next to the coop, showed her how to pick up and carry the rooster, had a gallon of water right next to the cage for her to just pour into his dish etc. I tried to make it all right there and easy. The food and water issue was just laziness imo. The door I can give a pass on, I've locked myself in also. lol
