Protecting chickens from pretadors

Hello everybody! I just registered in at the forum.! Sorry for my English If they are not very good
I recently had a failure with a chicken coop I had in the wilderness, because I used for protection only chicken wire. A dog from the neyboor came and eat the chicken wire and the chickens. Any suggestions about what to wire mesh to use?
I have found a wire mesh with opening 50mm 50mm square and wire thickness 3 mm is it ok?

Hi and ! So glad that you joined!

In my opinion the best wire for keeping out predators is hardware cloth. The openings are 6.35mm by 6.35mm. Here's a link.

Thanks for the swift response.
So the 50x50 mm mesh isn't going to work?? Because I have already covered the coop with hexagon chicken wire, and the 50x50 mesh I can find it in real good price.

Welcome!!! A combination of the 2 may work. I use 2" x 4" welded wire fence with a layer of chicken wire around it
