Hi everyone, I'm soooo..... stressed out about this whole weasel/mink deal that I'm worried that I won't be able to enjoy my vacation! And every time I mentioned it to my dad he just gave me a look and an eyeroll! But I don't care, I will make that coop and run Fort flippin Knox if I have to! Sorry for that outburst. I just don't know what to do! Any suggestions?

You need to seal off / secure all small openings. Them lil devilz squeeze thru some mighty small cracks. Another good option is to protect your coop with an Electric curtain. You would have to get creative in installing such, but it can be done. One zap from 15,000 volts sends the message. It does not kill them, just sends them for the woods.

Here is the energizer I will be using to protect my Pigeon loft. A raccoon finished off 7 of my Eagles.. ( that is what my grandchildren call them( "Grandpa's Eagles")

About $35 for the energizer. The wiring, netting Insulators of course will vary in price according to your needs.

It looks like 2 inch by 4 inch fencing. Weasels and minks should fit thru with ease. My suggestion to you is to ask other chicken keepers in your area how they deal with the problem. Are there any in your area that you know?
